Habitat Greensboro was proud to host outstanding Collegiate Challenge participants in March. In the first week, eleven college students from Eastern University in Philadelphia drove ten hours to work with us. We hosted some first-time participants, as well as some returning volunteers. Two students, Allison Cox and Gerri Stockmann, have volunteered with us all four years of their college career.
Second week participants were 9 students from Plymouth State University in Plymouth, New Hampshire. For most of the students, this was their first time in Greensboro and their first Collegiate Challenge with Habitat for Humanity. They helped with framing and THEY PUT ON A ROOF! Wow! They’ve worked extremely hard while on the job site and have been an absolute pleasure to host.
We really appreciate their hard work at our Holt’s Chapel sites and the great attitude they bring to the job. We are thankful that there are students who want to give back during their spring break, and we are proud to have them volunteer with us. See photos of our teams in action here.
