Current Build Locations

Listed below are our Current Build Sites. All volunteers must register with Volunteer Services or your sponsor group PRIOR to coming out on the site. This helps us manage our volunteers more efficiently and ensures a positive, safe experience for you. Please click on the volunteer link on our website to register on-line and then follow-up with a phone call to Volunteer Services at 336-275-4663 to confirm a date and site for beginning your volunteer experience with Habitat Greensboro. We work with volunteers at the job site on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Volunteers work at our sites on Community Houses and Sponsored Houses. A sponsor can consist of a business, organization, foundation, church, individual as well as one or more interested sponsors joining together. A sponsor can provide the financial backing and all of the volunteer labor to build the house in which case the use of community volunteers is very limited. In some cases a sponsor will choose to partner financially and use community volunteers for the building process. To find out more about becoming a sponsor, please click the Sponsors link on our home page or call Pat Arnett, Director of Development, at 336-232-0130.

430 Bingham Street. This new Habitat project is called Arbor Court Town Homes which will involve homeowners, volunteers, community partners and sponsors including Kavanagh Development, Westminster Presbyterian Church, Crown Automotive, Bank of America, Gilbarco Veeder-Root, Federal Home Loan Bank, City of Greensboro and the Chamber of Commerce.

NOTE : If you have a child who is between the ages of 14 and 17 years old who would like to participate, please contact our Volunteer Services Coordinator PRIOR to coming out to volunteer so that they can be placed at a site where their skills and interests can best be utilized. A Liability Waiver must be completed prior to their coming on the job site. Sorry, children under the age of 14 are not allowed on the construction sites.

Restrictions for volunteers under 18 years of age : Per Habitat for Humanity International policy, volunteers between the ages of 14 and 17 cannot be on ladders, the roof or use power tools. Volunteers between 14 and 15 years of age can be on-site only when power tools are not in use. The tasks they can be involved with are landscaping and painting. Volunteers between 16 and 17 years of age can be on-site when power tools are in use but they cannot operate the tools.
